On July 5th a small group gathered at the We Energies facility in Weyauwega to band osprey chicks. It was a bitter/sweet day. Without the help of We Energies we at The Feather would never have been able to make this project happen.

First we would like to thank We Energies for their bucket truck and two employees, Mark Palm and Tim Bristol. Also to their boss Bruce Sasman.
Second to Kim and Gary Bunnell for the banding and moral support.
Third to the residents along the osprey route for their support and monitoring the nests for us.
Fourth to our good friend David Horst, from the Post Crescent for his caring words about the birds.

This year was different, it was good and it was bad. The following photos will tell you the plight of the ospreys this year.
