Not perfect

On June 25 we received an adult red tailed hawk from Jeff Barton from Waupaca with an injured left wing. It was taken to the Wolf River vet clinic here in New London and checked out by Dr. Lowell Wickman. There were no broken bones, but the wing had some muscle damage. We bought it home and waited. The wing never look all that good, but the bird flew like a jet so after two months we put him back where he was found. Never underestimate the ability of a red tailed hawk. He was not perfect when he sat on a perch, but in the air he was all he was meant to be.

We here on earth are all not that perfect either, and we are always given the chance to make it. Perhaps the bird will make it in the wild, perhaps not. But is always better to try in its own world.

All we do is give them a second chance. The rest is up to the bird.
