Ospreys fish slow-moving, bottom feeding, shallow-dwelling species such as suckers,bullheads,catfish,carp,fallfish,flounder,perch and sunfish. An osprey has a 90 percent success rate in some catches-per-dive studies. Nationwide an average of nearly 40 percent well above the catch rates of most eagles, hawks and owls.
