On the evening of July 11,I by chance checked on the camera and found that one of the chicks was in the box, flat out. Its legs were stretched out and the wings were full out. Not a good sight for a raptor. It tried to move but its legs did not work. It used its wings to move from corner to corner. I contacted some people and by 9 pm the local rehbber in the area picked up the falcon. It was dehydrated, the legs were not moving and vaious other things were not right with the bird.
This bird was found on the ground July 11 at 7 am and was put back in the nest box. It was believed that the storm that passed though Oshkosh might have blown it off the ledge. At 9pm that night Beka Weiss from Aves Wildlife out of Neenah picked up the bird and took it in for treatment. The bird was going in for x-rays on July 13th, but shut down early in the pm on July 12th.
