Just outside the Very Christian town of Colorado Springs is a remarkable series of sandstone outcrops caused by dramatic folding and weathering of the strata, like a miniature version of the Central Australian folds which created Ayers Rock and The Olgas. Most of the names on the pictures are those given to the formations in the park, and aren't mine!
To see these formations poking out of the suburban environment is truly weird.
