Not a Bluet at all! I am happy to introduce you to your first male Variable Dancer, Argia fumipennis, this being the sub-species violacea ("Violet" Dancer)! The true diagnostic feature is that forked black shoulder stripe. The violet color is most common in the NE and is what differentiates this from the other sub-species.
