Most everyone in the Hampton Roads area knows a sailor or two, and there are many of us who have loved ones who deploy on these mighty ships. It is a sad day to see them leave for a six month cruise, but there is little that compares with the anticipation and emotion that accompanies a returning battle group or air wing as loved ones eagerly await the return of the men and women who serve in the armed forces: the Navy, the Marines, the Army, the Coast Guard, and the Air Force are well represented in the Hampton Roads area.
