We spent a week in Virginia, May 22-25 in Lexington for a graduation, and 25-29 on a friend's farm near Little Washington in Rappahannock Co. Near Lexington, I visited Glen Maury Park in Buena Vista one morning, got pictures of Indigo Bunting and Eastern Bluebird; and Boxerwood Gardens another morning, where I got my first picture of a Carolina Chickadee. In Rappahannock County, I had my first pictures of Field Sparrow and Red-headed Woodpecker, plus pictures of Carolina Wren, and other common eastern birds, always welcome to this Californian.
