Western and Clark's Grebes nesting colony, Spring 2013

A small colony of Western and Clark's Grebes engaged in courting and mating, and established nests, at the south end of Coyote Park Lake in southern Santa Clara County, California, in early April 2013. These photos were taken April 12 and 13. Unfortunately, the colony failed and the nests were abandoned.
