Red Crossbill, first winter male (?)

Skylawn Cemetery

The buff tips to the wing coverts indicates a first winter bird, and I infer from my reading on this species that even the small amount of emergent red identifies this as a male. (The tail feathers look fresh, which suggests adult, but I believe the buff covert tips are diagnostic of a first-cycle bird -- corrections welcome.)
