Three Rock Wrens were seen in the rocky area uphill from the Preserve parking lot, with the two of them shown here engaging in almost continuous chase-play suggestive of courtship. This species sometimes has second and even third clutches of young, extending into late summer; this may have been an adult pair with a late-fledged young bird, and the play may have been post-breeding pair-bonding behavior. BNA reports that there is little published work on Rock Wren behavior.
