The larger orange-billed Royal Tern is flanked by two Forster's Terns, an adult in non-breeding plumage in front, and a first-cycle bird also in non-breeding plumage in the rear. The adult has pure white surrounding the black eye patch on the head, while the immature bird has a gray nape and crown.
