Most of the thousands of white geese at Bosque are Snow Geese, but this one, joining a large flock on the ground along the Farm Loop, appears from the shorter bill and absence of the "grinning patch" to be a Ross's. I see a higher proportion of Ross's Geese at Merced NWR in the Central Valley of California.
