Caspian Tern with Forster's Tern and American Avocet chick

Radio Road, Redwood Shores

The Caspian is the (male?) partner of an incubating bird; the Avocet chick, in camouflage plumage, is in the lower right. Caspian Terns average 21" long to 13" for Forster's, outweigh them 660 g to 160.

Wonderful comparison, had to look for the chick.
