I got this photo of a bird rare in the U.S. Southwest but common in Mexico, at Kubo B & B in Madera Canyon, Arizona; unfortunately this out of focus image was my only one. Knowledgeable viewers present when the bird appeared said it was a female, and this seems consistent with what I, lacking any experience of this species, could find in my books. I saw this bird at the same time as another rarity, a Flame-colored Tanager, http://www.pbase.com/image/101486406 .
