Over November 5-9, 2014, I photographed birds in four California Central Valley counties: Merced (Merced NWR); Fresno (Panoche Hills); San Joaquin (Woodbridge Road, Staten Island Road); and Sacramento (Cosumnes River Preserve). Lots of shots of White-faced Ibis, Cackling Geese, and Sandhill Cranes; some of Mountain Bluebirds, Lark Sparrows, Horned Larks, and a Long-eared Owl; and more, sampled below.
