The "Board but not Boring" Birdathon team had an abbreviated session due to an unseasonable storm, just two hours in mid-day at Shoreline Park, Mountain View, on April 7, 2018. The team was made up of members of the Board of Directors of the Santa Clara County Audubon Society: Bob Hirt, leader; Peter and Diane Hart; Mike Armer; and me. We saw birds of sixty species, not a high number for a Birdathon in our bird-rich county. But consider that we found our birds at the dazzling rate of a new species every two minutes!
Below are four pictures I took on the outing, showing some of our more memorable birds.
