Birds photographed on a family vacation in December 2005, in Baja California. We rented a house in La Paz and most of these photos were taken there, in our yard and neighborhood, and especially along the Malecon (seawall); a few were taken in Todos Santos, and along Highway 19 between La Paz and Todos Santos.

Thank you for sharing these gorgeous photos. My 8-year-old daughter and I are spending a month in Loreto (Dec 2007) and have marvelled at many of the same birds you have captured on film. Now we know their names. We've got field glasses and are enjoying our daily birding time.

I currently live in wonderful La Paz (means The Peace) and see these birds almost daily. I have almost no photos however as to me, as seeing these birds are common but wonderful daily events.
Wonderful Gallery Tom. Beatiful bird photos. I will be visiting LaPaz in April and wanted to see what sort of birds I might find there. Your gallery is very helpful.
