CHECKING MY BLOOD

GRAPEVINE, TX

I tend to put up a shot just like this every 6 months. I go through a battery of testing every 6 months to make sure no cancer is rearing its ugly head again. The blood test is to track my tumor markers. My last test was 6 months ago and my count was a 7 which is totally awesome! I pray it is still at a low mark this time. I get a PETscan and a chest X-ray too and did those earlier this morning. Today, the blood is still red even though some may think it is green! I actually watched this time as I was shooting instead of closing my eyes like I normally do when they take my blood. Nurse William is getting very good at this. It didn't even hurt this time! Anyway, this was the highlight of my day. Find out results in a couple of days. I'm sure all is well but if it isn't, I'll fight the fight one more time! I have 3 more 6 month tests and if all is well, I can go to getting checked once a year. Thanks for all your prayers today. Means a lot and I'm sure the Lord heard them all! Big hugs to everyone!

Now, off to see if I can watch and shoot a beautiful sunset! Looks like it could be a good one tonight! God giving me the painted skies again to let me know all will be well!

Well done, Cindi. It's worth all the inconvenience to gain reassurance. Best wishes as always.

Ugh... don't show my wife! She'll pass out! ;-) A lot of folks don't understand what you cancer folks go through even after you are in remission. Thanks for sharing~GMV

Let's hope for good. I admire your spirit to take shots during such a unpleasant procedure.

As the visionary Julian of Norwich declared: "All will be well, and all will be well, and all manner of things will be well". And so it will be with you.
