NESTING

Fort Worth, TX

This Mourning Dove was nesting and let me get within 2 inches! I took a few shots and whispered thank you. Too cool! I even got to pet her head!
Today is much calmer than yesterday. Some friends came into town so we are heading to the Japanese Festival later today and Nascar tomorrow. Should get some good shots but it is rather cold out there this morning. Better than the tornados we had yesterday!

Reminds me of the one who nested outside my mom's backdoor. Unfortuately some pigeons scared her away.

Cindi....You must have a true gift....for a wild bird to let you touch her, especially when nesting! What a beautiful picture she gave you.

Very nice capture Cindi and great story, I didn't get that close to the one I shot, I was afraid she would fly. v

Great capture Cindi. Somehow he or she sensed that you were just there to take a picture and not harm it. It would be great if you can follow up after the hatching of the newborn. I'm assuming there's an egg or two under there.

Very sweet capture Cindi. Glad to hear the weather is better now. I'm beginning to think that spring is not going to make an appearance in Ontario...it's cool again, and the rain/snow on it's way.
