I got the results back from my Oncologist today. My tumor marker blood test rose 3.3 points. I'm still in the normal range but Doc says that he wants to do another couple of tests on Friday to make sure that all is well. He said that he isn't too concerned but wants to be proactive just in case. He said it is just precautionary measures that he takes with all his patients. He's glad that I've gained some weight back and my cholesterol and blood pressure are perfect. So, another couple of tests to go but I have a feeling all is well. Stress could have played a part too in the higher count of proteins in the blood test so he says. That's why they say stress is not good for you. Certain proteins are secreted by cancer cells and that is what they are testing. He also wanted to know when I was going to retire and do something else. He knows the job I have has a high stress level. I'll be giving that some strong consideration in the next couple of years, for sure! By then, I'll be debt free and I can move onto something else. God always has a plan for everything.
