NORTHERN SHOVELER

Thanks for letting me know I wasn't wrong and what kind it was. It looked like a Shoveler in my bird book but not as colorful. I had never seen one of these before. I'm proud to get a new bird for me! Whee Hee!

Yep. It is a shoveler. Great detail on the ripples in the water and the bird. Excellent
bokegh as well. ...hope I spelled that right.

Anyway, its a damn poor mind that can only think of one way to spell a word!

my oh my, that appears to be a Northern Shoveler, otherwise known as "Anas clypeata". This one appears to be a hen based on the coloring. Wonderful shot Cindi
