Then, I found the bugs! This flower was so tiny, I'm not sure what the bugs are, I'm assuming mites of some kind. Either way, it was not what I was expecting. Guess you don't know what you get til you look at the image! Yeeeeech!

Cindi, these are aphids and they are inside a flower of Vinca minor, a viny plant commonly known as periwinkle.
