We go way far north of everything then come over Russia and looks like over Pakistan and Afghanistan. I think we flew away from any troubled areas. This was a 14 hour flight and then a 3 hour flight from DFW to Newark. A 9 hour layover in between arriving in Newark and the flight out of Newark to Delhi, India. Not the most fun airports in the world.
