Well, I spent most of the day and night in this airport because of delays due to weather. It eventually led to cancellation of my flight. There were very few people left in the airport as most of the flights got cancelled.
I had already returned my rental car and baggage had already been checked and at 8:45 PM (flight was supposed to leave at 4:05), I was told it would be Saturday before I could head home. With no place to stay, I figured I'd be spending the night at the airport. However, due to a kindness of a stranger, I was able to get a room at the hotel across the street. I was also able to retrieve my baggage.
My flight left this morning after two more delays but I was home by noon. It was a long day yesterday and it feels good to be in my own home, in my own surroundings. That's one thing I don't like about traveling via air; there is always a possibility of major delays and cancellations. As much as it can irritate you, it's best to just deal with it and not get your blood pressure up. It is something you can't control so you gotta just roll with the flow.
