I got out before sunrise and drove into Alton and into the countryside before I went down to the river to see if I could spot more bald eagles. I wanted to get some time for me to shoot some of the beautiful scenery in the area as I was flying back to Texas this morning. I saw this tree and it just begged to be shot so I did.

I got back home to Texas. As much as I love going to Illinois, it is always great to get home especially since I was gone two weeks straight. I worked a lot of hours while I was up there so didn't get as much time out and about as I would have liked. After being on the computer all day, I was brain fried so I didn't get online much while I was there. I'm very happy to be home and in my own surroundings. And, it is much warmer here as well. As much as my gypsy soul loves to travel and wander there's no place like home!
