UPSTAIRS TREE

Galveston, TX

While in Galveston, I drove around and looked at houses. Saw this one and loved the tree in the window. This house actually had 3 trees. Two downstairs and one upstairs. Saw quite a few houses while I was there. The weather wasn't very nice but we all made the most of it. This was one of my faves of all the ones I looked at. Love the style. So much character!

After the hurricane in 2008 I committed myself to catalog the historic houses in photos. I was doing them block by block. But after a couple years, I stopped because I didn't have time. I am hoping to go back to it in 2016, one of my "resolutions". I've sold many of the photos for brochures etc. used by heritage groups and home tours and B&Bs. But I really didn't care about selling them, I am more concerned with preserving them in photos because another hurricane could wipe them out. Love your PoV and processing here. V
