There's a little story behind this one. My sister and I were wandering around the countryside at sunset. We saw this windmill just about the same time the sun was going down. So, we hopped out of the car and went to the barbed wire fence to get some shots. Then, from up the hill I hear a man calling us. He asked if I wanted to go into the pasture to get a better shot as there were power lines in my way. Of course, I agreed. He said he was Bob and is 86, and lost his wife last year after 65 years. Bob was a very nice older gentleman. He opened the gate for me and then he went inside his house. He came back out and started walking towards my sister with a book of pictures. He wanted to share the images he has taken of this windmill he built at sunset. I could tell his was lonely and just wanted to talk to someone.
My sister and I will go by and visit him when we can and take him some cookies. He kind of reminded me of my Dad whom I miss terribly. Was nice to brighten his day and he brightened ours with his stories.
