ESCAPED TO FIND HIS FREEDOM

Hawkins, TX

My sister and I were driving down the easement to the street and saw this little guy on the barbed wire fence. I think he escaped his cage and found freedom in the country. He let us get somewhat close but not too close. He was eating grass seeds along the fence line I just hope he makes it!

I love these little budgies / budgerigars. We always had pet males - gorgeous pets

I wonder how long he can survive in the unknown environment, though. V.

Nice shot. There are a lot of domesticated birds living in the total freedom in SF... Wild Parrots of Telegraph Hill is a great documentary and the videographer, Judy Irving & Mark Bittner the guy who interacted with the birds are now a couple. Pelican Dreams is her latest documentary. Being local, they have been to Rossmoor twice to show their wonderful films.

Great find and beautiful capture. I, too, hope he survives.

Awww, I always worry and wonder about them being on their own. Especially in Winter. Nice shot, bokeh and interesting juxtaposition with the barbed wire fence.

Great find. His biggest problem is avoiding predators

In his case, freedom might not be such a great idea :-(
