TREES IN ICE

Fort Worth, TX

That is NOT snow....it is ice. This is from the ice storm we had last Friday and we got 4 inches of ICE. I finally was able to get out and got down to the local Junior College and got off a couple of shots. There are no tracks anywhere on this ice. If you walked on it, it is hard as a rock. Today, it really started to melt more on the streets so it is easier to get around.

5 more sleeps!

Guess the hospitals are treating lots of fractures...not pleasant.

Gorgeous scene Cindi! V
Texas ice storms are much more dangerous than our snow.

Fabulous shot by the way with the trees standing out of the pristine landscape.

Are these live oak trees. They are sturdy but 4 inches is a heavy weight.

Ice is the worst, for trees and humans! Glad to see nothing is broken!

I really love bare trees, especially in this environment. Considering I'm in Britain and you're in Texas, we have not had any weather remotely like this yet.
