Out of Canaan by Jan Karon. Love this series. About a preacher who falls in love with his next door neighbor, marries her and their life in the small town of Mitford. Always a bit witty and always has good spin on the stories. I'm on book 4...two more to go. I can read one of these a day.

Wonderful series. Really like how you captured the homey-ness of the book. Karon is one of my favorites. After the Mitford series, Home to Holly Springs is another great read. DO NOT bother with In the Company of Others - it's horrible. Read the online reviews.

I lived a few months in an apartment next to a preacher, when I moved to Mtl. When they made love, she would scream her head off. The first time he knocked on my door to convert me, I just laughed my head off.
