HEAT DAMAGE

Hawkins, TX

The prolonged drought has brought much devistation to the state of Texas. This leaf shows the transition of this leaf as to being healthy at one time to being scorched by the heat and lack of rain. We have sustained 69 or so days over 100+ degrees. Hopeful of rain and cooler temps ahead. Temps were better today and should be better in the week ahead but still no sign of rain.

not a good sign, when that happened in 2009 in Victoria we had huge bushfires with lots of life lost.
And I noticed that there are bushfires in Texas.
Hope all goes well

That is really sad. A transition we don't want to see. I sure hope you get some cool and rain soon. V

We are seeing the same thing here. It's very sad. Compelling capture of it.

I'm sure that weather effects more than the plants. Hope rain falls soon.

I saw on the news that Houston is losing thousands of trees because of the drought. I was outside watering at 5 a.m. this morning. Great shot, Cindi. Happy Labor day.
