SUMMER STROLL AND A SMALL TOWN FEEL

I shot a wedding last night in Plano and the reception was in McKinney, TX. McKinney is no longer that "small town" but its downtown area still has that feel. I took a stroll around the square before the reception started and took a couple of pictures.

The wedding was beautiful but someone stole one of my favorite lenses while I was there. I'm just sick about it. I'm hoping to get a replacement this week as I can't do my shoots without it.

Canon EOS Digital Rebel XSi

Wonderful scene; the strolling father and son really emphasize the human dimension.

I know that feeling, Cindi, of having a lens stolen from you...it happens to me in April.
But it is only material, although a costly material thing.
great night shot!

Beautiful! It reminds me of a little area in Dallas where they have horse drawn buggy rides and outside dining and shopping (off Daily Plaza). What a terrible thing to happen at a wedding! GRRR!

A lovely shot; it must be so distressing that your lens was stolen; hope you can recover the costs on insurance.

ace shot...cosy scene full of local colour...bad luck with someone sneaking away your lens...there's so little respect out there..

McKinney like all of Collin County has exploded population wise. This is a great shot, showing that people can still sit out and eat, and walk their children. What amazes us is the lack of mosquitos up here.

I'm annoyed that your lens was stolen - what a low life!

This is a beautiful scene, Cindi! It might be covered by your house insurance but not sure you should check into it though if it was a really expensive lens and you have the recipe. ;>> \/

I can't believe that some dirt bag stole your lens! How disgusting!
Your shot is fabulous Cindi! I've been to McKinney many times and think that it's a charming "little" town. It has grown be leaps and bounds since I left TX in the late 80's.

Beautiful night scene, with lots of sharp details! Love the shadows of the man and boy. I am so sorry about your lens. Awful that someone would do something like that, at a wedding, no less. V for this great photo!
