After a rough week at work, I decided to get out this evening and get a sunset shot as I knew it was going to be a great one. I gassed up and started heading towards the lake. Then, I had a blow out. Wasn't going fast and was on a country road. Anyway, I pulled over and realized the tire lug wrench wouldn't fit the locks I have on my tires so I couldn't get the spare off. I said a little prayer and when I looked up a vehicle had pulled behind my car.
Then, 3 ladies and two men jumped out and said we are here to help you. I just looked up and said thank you. One of the ladies said that they were just talking about when she was in an accident and several young men had helped her out and then they saw me at the bottom of the hill. She said she had to stop. Then she said, coincidence, huh? And, I said, No, no coincidence. Just another prayer answered. Funny how He works that way.
So, they got me all fixed up just before it got too dark. I hugged them all and I headed towards the gas station to air up the spare a bit. Then, I looked up as I was airing up the tire and saw this. A gift from heaven and a gentle reminder He's always with me.
Thank you, Lord and thank you for the week even if it was rough, thank you for the day and the disappointments I had to face as that means I'm still alive and can feel. And the gentle nudge to remind me to leave it all in Your hands. And, thank you for this beautiful sunset as it means I can still see and I'm doing okay. Yep, He gets me through everything, everyday. I don't think I could do it alone.
