Had to deliver some pictures this evening and got stuck in a huge downpour. I had a bit of time to spare so I went out to a hill at the top of Marine Creek Lake. But, I couldn't get any good lightning shots as the wind was blowing hard and rain was coming thru the window. So, I left and took the pictures to my client and when that was over the storm had blown south so I was able to go back out to the spot and got a few lightning shots. The storm was headed into Ellis and Johnson counties, just south of Fort Worth. I got the city silhouette fairly well but had to use manual focus as it was dark and just hoped for the best. I get excited when I get a lightning shot, whether it is good or not. I'll post a couple more a little later. Now, gotta finish up those wedding shots!
