STORM DAMAGE

Fort Worth, TX

My iron and steel image for Friday. Took this out at the Marina where they had some really bad straight line winds on Wednesday. Lots of damage to the Marina and boats that were docked there.

That's too bad, and unfortunate for the boat owners. Now I'm off to look up "straight line winds".

WOW, I thought we get storms , but I have just downgraded them to light wind after seeing this.

Straight line winds, also known as derecho winds, from the Spanish word for straight, have been observed at speeds in excess of 100 mph..

Oh, that looks terrible. Hope the owners are insured well. An impressive entry.
