IT WOULDN'T BE SPRING WITHOUT A BIRD NESTING

Hawkins, TX

This little one was nesting in the small suit of armor I gave my sister. It stands on her front porch. I would have never seen her if she hadn't flown out when I got too close to the armor. Then, she flew back and let me take her picture. She had 3 eggs yesterday and today one had hatched so there should be two more hatching soon. Too bad I had to come home so I will miss the other two. Couldn't get a really good picture of the newbie and didn't want to hang around too long as mom was going out to try to find bugs to feed it and I didn't want to disturb that.
