BEHIND THE FENCE

Near Kerrville, TX

Evidently, there are wild game ranches where people go to shoot these beautiful animals. And, I don't mean with a camera. I understand the reason for hunting deer and so on as they populate so quickly and some will starve when there are too many and I believe if you do hunt, you should use the meat for food. Unfortunately, the game on this ranch are for the trophy heads. I doubt very seriously that anyone of them eat the meat. I know there are Antelope on that ranch as well and from first hand experience, those guys don't make a good meal. Just sounding off, because to me it is like shooting fish in a bucket...these guys have no chance. It is not sport when you can drive up to them and just kill them. Ticks me off as these ranches make a lot of money from folks that just want that head on their wall.

If I'd had a pair of wire cutters, I'd have set him free!!!!

I'm with you on this topic. This critter looks like it's old and been in a few tussles. It deserves a better chance.

I agree, it's a sad story indeed.

Something I will never understand. A great image, but to see this beautiful animal fenced in like this makes me sad.

That is not hunting. This is like shooting a pet.

Totally agree. A bit silly, too. Look at the antlers I have. I shot this one in a barrel.

Yup, funny what some people consider a "sport."

Amen!

Do I ever agree with you!!!!! I once went to a place where they came all the ducks and geese in a pen and fed them heavily with no water in sight. Then, they opened the pen and let them fly to the water towers and as they flew the hunters picked them out of the air. Brutality and cruelty in his highest form, just like this. Make me ashamed to be a human.
