I saw these guys at the lake and have NEVER seen them before. I'm sure they are migrating south. By the curve in the beak they look like a possible Avocet but I wasn't sure about that. Scott helped identify them and they are American Avocets! What they are doing here I don't have a clue other than just passing through to their final winter destination.
