TREE AND MOUNTAINS

Crater Lake, OR

Looking the other way from the lake. I wrote the below passage on the next shot as well. Crater Lake was a spiritual place, a place where God and I talked, a place where I felt His presence.

I stopped and sat for about an hour with tears streaming down my face. The beauty was something I had never experienced before and I felt close to God there. Almost like my soul was part of this place. I am going back to stay a while. I can't explain it but what I felt was joy, love and thankfulness which totally overwhelmed me and that is difficult to do. I don't cry easily but this place just made me melt. A man came up to me and asked if I were okay and I said, yes, more than okay! They were good tears, not bad ones. The presence of something greater than us was there that day....I felt His arms, His smell and His spirit surround me and I do so thank you, Lord, for all you have given to us. I found a new appreciation for your handiwork. Your work is phenominal and I thank you for letting me have the chance to live and appreciate it all. I can't even imagine how Heaven could be more beautiful.

The voice of Maria Callas has the same effect on me...I am not surprised that this place did that to you.

A really wonderful image, Cindi. Love the layers, the composition, the silhouetted tree, and the shades of blue. Big Vote

How lovely that there are still places on earth that can move you in this way... love the different shades of blue on the hills in the background...
