This is Alvin Johnson. He is a homeless man who lives in an old rock house that is open to the elements. One of the first houses ever built in Fort Worth. I met him on a photo shoot when we went there to take pictures.

The young man I was taking pictures for had his guitar and was playing it and Alvin sat in a window to listen. He then asked if he could play it. He told us he hadn't played since 1983 when his wife left him. He became homeless shortly thereafter.

When he played he was transported into another place in time, I believe. He never skipped a beat and played some Beatles, Blues, Country, Ike and Tina, and several others. I loved every minute of it and will never forget that day. I will be back to visit him.
