The actor continued by saying, "I'm sure the studio has an idea. If everyone loves it, then we'll take an hour to relax. "John Wick" always, for some strange reason, gets the most recent launch date for Japan.
"Keanu and I are going to take the long trip to Tokyo and have a couple of 20-year-old whiskeys, and then write down some ideas on napkins. If the ideas come to fruition and we can make an animated film," Stahelski said of the possibility of a fifth film in "John Wick."
The ''John Wick'' franchise first released its film in 2014, featuring Stahelski directing and having Reeves as the main assassin. Due to the huge popularity, the franchise spawned sequel films, including "John Wick: Chapter 2" and "John Wick: Parabellum" released in 2017 and 2019 respectively.

After the release of the third film, production company Lionsgate confirmed that they would be in the process of preparing another installment, with Stahelski returning to the director's chair. In August of 2020 it was revealed that the fifth installment of the series ''John Wick'' was being developed, and would be released shortly after the conclusion of ''John Wick: Chapter 4".
In March 2021, however, Lionsgate put off production of the fifth chapter of John Wick and John Wick'', opting to simply continue with the fourth chapter. Stahelski talked about why he decided not to make the two films simultaneously and just focus on ''John Wick: Chapter 4''. "I didn't feel right doing 4 and 5 together," the director said, citing the fact that doing so would require an exhausting 200 production days.
