My daughter Helen, a young woman of 26, who two years ago underwent massive brain surgery to remove a malignant Medulloblastoma brain tumour with a bad prognosis, instead of feeling sorry for herself, has decided to do something meaningful with her life and today (07 June 2004) opened the Sunbeam Kids day-care center for Aids orphans, who either come from child-headed households so that their older siblings can attend school, or are cared for by working grandparents who cannot afford day care. We have over 25 000 Aids orphans in our area. This gallery will document the progress of this center and will show it's successes and failures. The children have to be orphans up to the age of 6. They will be given a nourishing breakfast and midday meal and Puleng, a volunteer, will teach and play with them. (Their website is http://www.sunbeamkids.org.za ).

Mum told me about your site and I thought I'd take a look. The cousin (black and white) pics are lovely! I think the one with me in the grass came out really nicely :-)
Tell Melly that it her project looks very exciting and that I'd love to hear from her and find out how things are going and stuff. Send my love to everyone.
