I LOVE your pictures. We live in Illinois and often go to Arthur, IL, which has a large Amish community. We live the serenity of traveling through the countryside and just seeing a slower pace of life. We have also traveled to the Amish communities in Indiana and Lancaster, PA.
On your site, there is mention of the Amish being horrible to their animals - we have not seen that in anyway. Their animals always look well cared for.
Interesting comments on your site about these animals having to "work" - that is what these animals are raised for. I guess some are used to only seeing them at various fairs, etc.
All of America was once farmed with animals - horses, mules, oxen.
