Stray Cat Strut Studio Work 2005

The beginning of a commissioned project to benefit the Dearborn Animal Shelter. The "Stray Cats" will be on parade on Memorial day and at the sponsoring business. Then the cats will be auctioned off. The original sketch was an idea, but the cat "told" me to digress and make her into an ancient goddess before adding the additions to create her as a "caterinarian".

When you see a piece of work of this magnatude and the steps involved until the final process and then to the display it just boggles the mind . I guess it takes a lot of patience - a lot more than I have . You did a nice job and now that you mention of the ancient goddess it comes back to me what it is about . Keep up the good work .

What an operation is it an oil based media or acrylic. the washes work so well. and there is some nice art on the wall in the background too. now to visit the gallery. terrific job I'm dazzled. . . Claire

Catshepsut is REALLY coming along!!! from concept to this stage is moving by leaps and bounds. Considering the OTHER things going on at home, I'm amazed at your progress. I love it and appreciate the photo journal. Keep it up.

WOW! I personally think your drawing looks beter than the sculpture! The artist who did the sculpture needs to work on PERSPECTIVE- The cat is too thin, and the neck too big, with too small a head for the body!- Oh well- work with what you have i guess..lol
