Learning about Michigan 2004

The first part of the July 14th, 2004 Lansing tour was a visit to the Michigan Historical Museum. The second part consited of a luncheon on the Michigan Princess, a refitted paddle wheel boat which actually was run by a diesel engine, and the third portion was a visit to the Michigan State Capitol which is celebrating the State's 125th Anniversary. On the lawn was a demonstration by Friends of Falun Gong, and we. at first, thought that they were mannekins, but the participants were humans portraying the tortures.

Very nicely done, Val. I feel as though I was on the tour with you. Some excellent photos there showing scenes from your tour.

WOW! I never knew our capitol was so cool! That glass brick floor gives me the creeps just seeing those people walk across it!!! EEP! funny that... lol Val loves the old cars and stuff. STROHS RULES!!! :D

I really like the restored dome. The floor shot brings back vertigo with NO effort. I liked the link on the red log wagon, the paddle wheel with steam belching out in front of it. There were SO MANY great shots here. I can't remember them all. I think it's among the best of your work, Val, if not THE best of. The (I want to call it rotunda but don't think it's the correct term) where they are in session was a very nice shot.

Excellent work here.

What brillant colors. I loved the details on the Paddle Wheel boat. The pictures from inside the Capital were great too.

Excellent quality and color, Val. Some of the best you have ever done. I especially like "Restored Dome" and "Another View." But they are all good.

It looked like you had a good time going. Sorry you lost some sleep, but it didn't show in your work!!!!

Val those are so sharp and bright....really awesome. Think that my fav would have to be the mirror image....
