FairLane Grounds February 08

We begin with the "Weeping Beech", to "The Gate", down to the Falls, around and to the steep stone steps, to the big meadow, around to the lake, to the pergola and back to the Beech where we photo one of the small deer that inhabit the grounds.

Your pictures took me back. I used to cross-country ski on the river into Fairlane, around the grounds, and up into Hines Park and back. Keep your eyes peeled for fox and cyotes.

Of course the deer are special to me, but I just LOVE the gates Val! Absolutely beautiful!!!

Very nice snow and woods photos, Val. I loved the ones with steps and the one with the man in the distance. They are all so good.

I really like the shape of the "Weeping Beech", but my favourite of all is "Blocked by Logs". The little bit of sun peeping thru and glancing off the ice is perfect.
