This whirlwind trip included a day on the backroads of San Benito & North Monterey County, ending in SLOCO; followed by a couple days at my dad's house in Murrieta and an onsite Watchable Wildlife Site assessment of the Santa Rosa Plateau; and then a birding photo trip encompassing the Laguna Mt. area of San Diego County, Salton Sea, Joshua Tree, and Morongo Valley before turning for home. The trip concluded with night sightings/hearings of Lesser Nighthawk, Kangaroo Rat and a couple of foxes along Panoche Rd.
