This bird proved to be the second most-likely-to-be-misidentified in this sequence. The dark eye, dark wings and mantle, and bluish legs are all good marks for a 3rd cycle California Gull. The dark ring around the bill led a few into the pitfall of calling this a Ring-billed Gull, and Mew Gull also got a couple of votes.
