Northern Caracara

Caracara cheriway

Following the work of Carla Dove and Dick Banks, Crested Caracara is now usually regarded as two species, Northern and Southern Caracaras. Although Northern Caracara is reasonably widespread, it is never very common on the main island, but is comparatively easy to see on Cayo Coco, where I took this picture.
